Watts Capital currently seeks outstanding financial advisors with existing books of business to join the firm as Wealth Managers in our New York City headquarters, or in our regional offices in Long Island, New Jersey, Atlanta, West Palm Beach, St. Louis, Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon.
We will work with each of you to increase revenue from your existing books of business, and to expand your client base and earnings potential through thoughtful targeted marketing. Every advisor has a part of their job that they love. In many cases that is working with and helping their existing clients. They also have parts of the job that they would just as soon have someone else do.
At Watts Capital, we view wealth managers like surgeons. Surgeons should focus on the activities that only they can do, namely. Surgeons should not have to prep the patient, clean the surgical suite, or fill out the insurance forms. Similarly our wealth managers focus on what they do best, and the Firm assumes responsibility for everything else, making the wealth advisors happier, more productive and more successful.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR INCREASED COMPENSATION
Watts Capital generates revenue three ways:
1) Financial planning fees
2) Investment management fees
3) Insurance commissions.
Wealth Managers have joined us and become more successful from a variety of environments, including RIAs, Independent Broker Dealers, Hybrids, and Insurance Carriers and Brokers.
Our goal for every adviser hired is to double their compensation within three years. We do this through delivering more value to their existing clients, helping them identify and convert prospects in their existing personal networks, and grow their network. Watts Capital achieves these goals by providing to each advisor guidance, coaching, marketing support, product expertise, assistance in closing, and excellent client service.

The job of being a financial advisor often ranks as one of the most satisfying careers. Many advisors love their jobs. For that reason, they want to work as long as it is still fun. Like with all advisors, we work with these advisors to focus on the part of the job they love. We also try to tap into their knowledge that they have gained from decades in the business. We typically support them by pairing them with a younger advisor and client support team, so they can take off as much time as they like. And we help them monetize their practice when they are ready to slow down.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree
- An existing book of business of $10 MM in assets or more.
- A history of building relationships centered on trust, open communication and transparency.
- Curiosity and a commitment to lifelong learning, including staying current on current news and developments and how they affect clients.
- A commitment to excellent client service.
- A demonstrated history of professional success.
Our current hiring priority is advisors with existing books of business. We look for:
- Series 7, 65 or 66 licenses.
- Insurance licenses.
- Established books of business.
- Clean U-4.
- Exceptional track record in establishing and maintaining client relationships.
